Functional Movement Screen (FMS): Identify weak links & improve performance

The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is a simple yet powerful tool to assess movement quality, identify imbalances, and reduce injury risk. By analyzing how well your body moves through fundamental patterns, this screening helps pinpoint mobility restrictions, stability issues, and asymmetries that could be holding you back in training or daily life.

During the test, you’ll perform a series of seven movement patterns, covering essential functions like squatting, lunging, reaching, and core stability. Each movement is scored to highlight areas needing improvement, providing clear, actionable insights to enhance your movement efficiency. Whether you’re an athlete, a recreational exerciser, or someone recovering from past injuries, the FMS helps create a training approach tailored to your body’s needs.

Improving your movement mechanics leads to better performance, injury prevention, and longevity in training. Over the years, we have helped many individuals overcome unspecific back issues by addressing hidden movement deficiencies and improving core stability through targeted exercises. With the results of your FMS, our coaches can guide you toward specific mobility drills, strength work, or corrective exercises that will help you move better, safer, and stronger.

This service is available for CrossFit Kreis 9 members and non-members.
