Introducing

Tom

CrossFit Coach, Personal Trainer
Tom’s athletic background started with football and basketball, which he played well into his late twenties. In early 2016, when a new CrossFit box opened in his hometown of Ghent, Belgium, he discovered CrossFit—and quickly found a training style that matched his love for movement, challenge, and variety.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a career spanning corporate roles (Process Engineer, Technical Analyst), early-stage coaching start-ups, and co-founding a health & movement studio, Tom brings a rare blend of structured thinking and real-world coaching experience. He began coaching in late 2016 and has since developed an integrated approach that combines technical precision with mental-emotional awareness, stress management, and sustainable performance.

In class, Tom is analytical, detail-oriented, and deeply caring. His focus is movement mechanics—helping people move more efficiently and effectively, so training feels better, safer, and more rewarding over time. He wants members to feel fully present and engaged, and to discover that “success” often follows when you’re doing something intrinsically meaningful with real focus.

At CrossFit Kreis 9, Tom loves the mix of local Zürich culture and international energy—people from different backgrounds showing up to inspire each other to be 1% better each day.

Outside the gym, you’ll find him outdoors (sun, mountains, ocean), enjoying sports, music and design, great food, specialty coffee, and the occasional glass of natural wine.

Motto: “Each single day is a present. Wake up, do good, and live your dreams.”
