A kind reminder about children in the gym
Dear Parents,
As a family-friendly gym, we truly appreciate the trust you place in us by bringing your whole family into the CrossFit Kreis 9 community. We love seeing children grow up in an environment where health and movement are part of daily life.
Over the past months, we’ve noticed that the rules regarding the training area have been respected much better—thank you for your support and cooperation with this. However, we are still facing a few challenges that we need to address together.
One of the main issues is that during peak times—especially Saturday mornings—children often take over the entire warm-up and mobility space, making it difficult for others to prepare for training. More importantly, the level of noise has become a growing concern. As we all know, kids don’t come with a volume control, and even the most well-behaved little ones can get loud and energetic in an exciting environment like the gym. Nevertheless, the noise level has been to high lately and should be managed.
In addition, we kindly remind all parents that no food should be consumed in the training or mobility area. This helps us maintain a clean and hygienic space for everyone.
We understand that balancing family life and fitness is not easy, and we don’t want to take away the possibility for parents to train. At the same time, we kindly ask that children are only brought to the gym when it’s truly necessary, not just when it’s convenient. Our goal is to create an environment where everyone—parents, other members, and children—can feel comfortable, safe, and focused.
To summarize, we ask that:
- Children remain out of the training area at all times.
- The warm-up/mobility area is kept available for its intended purpose.
- Noise levels are kept in mind, especially during busy classes.
- No food is consumed in the training or mobility areas.
- Kids are brought to the gym only when needed, not as the default option.
We’re confident that with your continued support and understanding, we can maintain the welcoming, respectful atmosphere we’re so proud of at CFK9.
